Once upon a nightmare script.
To add to our opening sequence we decided to have a narrative, to explain a bit more about our film. We choose that the narrative would be a fairy tale story, read in the way someone would read a fairytale to their child. We choose Thomas Panton to be the voice of our narrative, because he has a deep voice and it will make it very sinister. Here's the script for the narrative:

Soundtrack for the main task.
Yasmine, Roxane and I want a creepy, fairytale like soundtrack for our opening sequence to at tension and make the audience feel on edge. We looked at many different copyright free music download sites to find the right track for our opening sequence to fit it all together. We narrowed it down to 4 tracks and listened to them along with our opening sequence, and choose the one that made us feel most on edge, this is the soundtrack we choose:

Shooting our opening seqence.
On 13th of February, the first Monday of half term, Roxane, Yasmine and I had our second shoot for our opening sequence. This time we were filming our actual shots for our opening sequences. We filmed from 3 til half 4 so the light didn't change. We didnt have our 'vilan' charcater on the shoot because he was working so we shot everything else that didnt involve him. It was a very productive afternoon, and we also got to experiment with the new camera using the tourch and focus tool to make some more creative shots we could possibly use in our final piece.

Once upon a nightmare trial run
We have edited the clips from the trial run together to give us a brief idea of how the final piece will look. By doing the trial run we have discover different things to add to the opening sequence to make it better, which i have explained in my previous blog.
After watching this we realised where the entrance to the woods is circular, it looks quite disjointed. However we think this gives a reference to how the killers mind is quite disjointed the way he follows fairy tails.

Preliminary task results
Around a month a go, our class was given the brief of our preliminary task: a continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room, and sitting down in a chair opposite another person with whom she/he the exchange a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180 degree rule.
I was in a group with Yasmine and Roxane. I was the director, Yasmine was the editor and Roxane was the actor in the preliminary task. Here is the task finished:
